Luca Lombardi (Brescia, 1996) After an initial interest in Art Graphics, he graduated in Painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. During his research, he has always shown a particular interest in vector shapes, which, through a game of superpositions, are transformed in relation to colour, often inspired by the “new” chromatic luminescences provided by the digital universe. Through the stratification of colours, within Luca Lombardi’s paintings, the figures combine with each other, accumulating on the surface. The sign seems to get lost. By losing the sign, the gesture also abandons its meaning. The artist’s work, therefore, raises the question about the meaning of gestures and signs in a highly automated system like the contemporary one.
