Glenda Cinquegrana Art Consulting is pleased to announce Time is now! a group show putting in dialogue artists from the past to contemporaries. The show is triggered by a deep reflection on the meaning of time: this concept, creating a multiple layer’s interpretations of the single artworks, helps us into a deeper understanding of historical and contemporary movements.

The exhibition presents some historical and valuable editions by artists such as Alberto Biasi, Giacomo Balla, Gianfranco Baruchello, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Gastone Novelli, Ugo La Pietra, Mimmo Rotella, Michelangelo Pistoletto and Luigi Veronesi put in dialogue with some contemporaries such as Francesco De Molfetta, Leonardo Gambini, Debora Hirsch, Silvia Idili and Claudia Marini. The crossed-interpretation makes every work essential to the understanding of the other.

Finding its origin in the Sixties pop culture, the use of ready-made can be found in a work by Francesco De Molfetta such as in a dècollage by Mimmo Rotella. Atmospheres from the Twenties of the last century are echoing in the paintings by Silvia Idili and also in those by Giacomo Balla: although the geometric elements in his works have a different origin, the similarities between the two are clear. Minimalism based on optical effects of light produced by contemporary and evanescent materials in works by Leonardo Gambini is simpler to understand if put alongside with an edition by Luigi Veronesi, the pioneer of optical-kinetic experimentation.
