Glenda Cinquegrana Art Consulting is proud to present A Bigger Splash!, a summer show featuring artists Carlo Bevilacqua, Stefano Cagol, Massimiliano Galliani, Giovanni Guadagnoli and Francesco Nencini. The exhibition is focusing on showcasing some new entries alongside some artists we’ve been collaborating for a long time.
The show title, referring to a film by Luca Guadagnino, alludes to freshness concerning the concept of summer show: by these artists we are pleased to present new works, unedited or freshly executed for the show, or newly edited, which are going to displayed in Zaccaria 4 in an open dialogue with the inner characteristics of the space.
In the kitchen project room we are presenting an edition taken from Indian Still series by Carlo Bevilacqua, a repeatedly awarded work; another project room displays a video installation by Stefano Cagol taken from The Body of Energy (of the Mind), recently presented at Venice Biennale, which after has been financed by RWE Stiftung’s Visit Award, has turned into a one year travel research throughout Europe, consisting in participation practices hosted by museums such as Bergen Kunsthall Landmark, Bergen, Museum Folkwang, Essen, Madre in Naples, MAXXI in Rome, Museion in Bozen, Kunst Halle in Sankt Gallen, ZKM in Karlsruhe, Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice. Massimiliano Galliani is presenting some unedited works taken from the series LSDT, Le strade del tempo/Streets of time, an original conceptual and painterly reinterpretation of the concept of time applied to the Monna Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. Giovanni Guadagnoli features Silenzio/Silence, a photographic research on the still life, seen between tradition and a new visual ambiguity. After the success od the show City Blues hosted by Cascina Martesana, Francesco Nencini, will be present with a group of works talking about New York, taken from the ‘Non Luoghi’ series, about human solitude in urban spaces.
