Glenda Cinquegrana Art Consulting is pleased to present our latest Online Viewing Room “Andrea Francolino | The world through the crack”, featuring a selection of works by artist Andrea Francolino.
The exhibition is a celebration of Andrea Francolino’s ecological sensitivity in a long-term perspective and the pursuit of the natural cracks in a piece of glass, the tracings on paper of parts of the world, the insistence in describing the conflicting relationship between the Human and Natural sphere show perfectly the reduction to a minimum of the distance between reality, subject and work of art.
Andrea Francolino (Bari, 1979), studied sculpture at the Fine Art Academy in Bari. Currently lives and works in Milan. Winner of the historic San Fedele Prize 2013/2014, he is among the founders of The Open Box Milan, a no-profit space for art.
In Andrea Francolino’s installations and in his in-transparency installations some of the themes of our contemporaneity come to light: ecology, the need for a deeper awareness of our presence as a species.
